The Los Angeles Dodgers are capable of making a run at the pennant based solely on their talent level. The loss of Kevin Brown has been partially offset by the addition of Jeff Weaver. He joins a strong rotation which still includes the likes of Hideo Nomo and Odalis Perez. Closer Eric Gagne is coming off a Cy Young Award winning season and is making another run at the award. Shawn Green and Adrian Beltre once again lead the offense. The team is managed by Jim Tracy and has been located in Los Angeles since 1958. They have made the playoffs 13 times and last won the World Series in 1988. Since 1962, the team has been playing its games in Dodger Stadium, which has a capacity of 56,000.

The Dodgers haven\'t won a World Series since 1988, but they may be the closest they\'ve been since with the squad they\'ve built up for this season, led by the fantastic National League MVP-quality play of Adrian Beltre.

The Dodgers should enter the postseason with an NL West title, and they earned it by playing good baseball all season long. Inning for inning, they possess the best pitcher in the game, Eric Gagne. Their lineup, currently diminished by the loss of angry Milton Bradley, is still strong, especially when Adrian Beltre and Shawn Green are still somewhere in it. The Dodgers can play a big role in shaping the playoff picture as they host the Giants for their final three games.
