Since the team’s beginning in 1921, no football club has won more games than the Green Bay Packers. A short list of some of the greats that played in Green Bay includes Bart Starr, Ray Nitschke and Brett Favre. Every year Favre puts the Packers on his shoulders and marches them into the playoffs. In the winter time, it’s difficult to beat the Pack on the Frozen Tundra of Lambeau Fieldon. Green Bay wins the warm weather games in the regular season and uses the bitter cold to their advantage in the postseason. The Packers could very well make the playoffs this year, and if they have home field advantage, look for them to go deep into the playoffs.

The incomparable Brett Favre leads the Green Bay Packers once more this season. Another NFC Central Championship was won by the club in 2003, and they have their eyes set on another, even with the competition improving, the Packers feel that with the best quarterback currently playing on their squad, they\'re never out of the running. Last season ended in disappointment with the Eagles knocking them out of the playoffs thanks to a now legendary 4th and 26 completion.
Ahman Green is the driving force behind the offense now, with over 1,800 yards rushing last year he made the offense (fourth in the league) tick. The same offense remains with the club in hopes they can duplicate that success with the offense.
The defense is another matter, and with the looming possibility of the departure of starter Mike McKenzie at cornerback, the seventeenth ranked defense in the NFL didn\'t upgrade very much over the offseason, mostly through the draft and with solid secondary pickups through free agency.
With Favre at the helm the Packers always have a since of familiarity, and this season will be no different. The only question will be if we recognize this team as similar to the one that won a superbowl not that long ago.

Even with two losses, Green Bay should feel good about their chances to make the playoffs. RB Ahman Green is one of the three best back in the league, perfectly balancing speed and strength. And of course, there's Brett Favre, who still threw four touchdowns in the loss to Indianapolis. The Packers must not be worried by their early losing record, but have to find a way to improve their streaky defense. While one can argue they're the best team at the bottom of a division, Mike Sherman needs to make some adjustments if he wants his squad to be thought of the best team at the top of their division.
