The Indianapolis Colts have been in business for 50 years dating back to 1953. Championships include eight division championships, five conference championships and three league championships. Some of the all-time greats to wear a Colts jersey are Johnny Unitas, Buddy Young and Gino Macrchetti. Tony Dungy had another great season last year. If Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison can top their amazing performance of last season, the offense will be lethal. The Colts have also added bulked up their defense to compliment a good offense. Look for the Colts to win the AFC South title again this season.

Speculation exists that this may be the last year that we see the dynamic offensive trio of Peyton Manning, Marvin Harrison, and Edgerrin James due to the hard salary cap reality of the NFL. If so, this season should be a very special one.
Last season saw the haunting streak of playoff losses end with victories over two AFC West teams, Denver and Kansas City before falling flat in the snow of New England to the eventual Super Bowl Champion, the Patriots. The second highest scoring offense in the NFL looks to pile on points another season in hopes to finding their way to the franchise\'s first Super Bowl in three decades.
The team was inactive during the offseason, adding nothing new to their AFC South Division winning team from a year ago. Experience is the tool they now carry, and they hope that along with the offense\'s capability is enough to overcome any defensive deficiencies. If it is, the Colts have to be considered odds on favorites to play for the NFL Championship this season.

The Indianapolis Colts currently run the best offense in the NFL, mostly due to the contributions of Peyton Manning. However, when the Colts don't have the ball, they're a completely different team, currently possessing the third-worst defense in the league. If the secondary fails to improve, the Colts can still make the playoffs but won't be able to hold the Lombardi Trophy above their heads. While Peyton Manning, Edgerrin James and Marvin Harrison strike fear in the hearts of defenses, Indy's attempts to shut down opponents is almost laughable. If coach Tony Dungy solves his defensive woes, this is a champion-caliber team.
