November 30, 2000 – Cris Carter brings down a 4-yard touchdown pass to make it 1,000 catches for his career during a 24-17 victory over the Detroit Lions. He joins Jerry Rice as the only receivers in history to pass that milestone, and will end up catching 1,101 balls for his career.
October 25, 1964 – "Marshall is running the wrong way!" In one of football's strangest moments, the Minnesota Vikings defensive lineman picks up a San Francisco fumble and runs towards the wrong end zone. Thinking he's scored a touchdown, Jim Marshall fires the ball into the stands in celebration. Instead of six points for his team, Marshall's gaffe is on the scoreboard as a safety. However, the Minnesota Vikings will hold off the San Francisco 49ers, 27-22.
